PRESS RELEASE // SALT Announces Gibson as New Full-time Global Director

Aug 02, 2022

SALT is building for the future, and we are starting with the right Global Director to lead us there.

Gregory Gibson comes to SALT after serving as the Founder and Lead Pastor of Veritas City Church (now CityLight DC) in Washington, DC, and the founding pastor of Foothills Church Knoxville.

Over the last 2-years, Greg has served in a volunteer leadership capacity alongside of SALT Founder and President, Timofey Dovgalyuk. Both Gibson and Dovgalyuk have been working to build SALT Ukraine and the SALT Network of Churches (SNC) alongside of other full-time ministry and business responsibilities. Today, however, all of that changes.

Founder and President Timofey Dovgalyuk says this concerning SALT's strategic hire:

"Relationships and Strategic Partnerships are one of SALT'S main priorities and we are excited to have Greg join our team as Global Director. His demonstrated ability to lead organizations will propel SALT forward in achieving our strategic objectives. People are our main resource, and we celebrate Greg and look forward to partnering with him in Great Commission work around the world."

"I am honored to be the leader, by God's grace, to take SALT and our SALT Network of Churches into the future," Gibson says. "In the next 10-years, I am praying for an ocean of church plants and good gospel work around the Russian speaking world. My hope is that SALT will lead the way for strategic church planting efforts around the Russian speaking world for years to come."

Gibson's first item will be to build the team and lead SALT into a sustainable and healthy ministry season.
